Austria in transition: 1918 - 1921

Tirol Parcel Control Stamps, 1919 - 1921.

To control parcels containing goods destined for foreign countries, the export of which was forbidden, the Tyrolean Government ordered on April 17th 1919 their control in both postal and rail transportation. Originally it was intended to use small stamps for postal parcels and large stamps for railway parcels but this arrangement was short-lived.
