These Milan newspapers bear REGNO D'ITALIA tax stamps (alias signets) of Napoleon’s Kingdom of Italy; the first is dated 4 May 1811 and taxed at 4 Centesimi, the second is dated 9 Dec 1811 and taxed at 3 Centesimi.

This Milan newspaper of 23 April 1814 still bears a 3 Centesimi Napoleonic tax stamp of regno d’italia (printed on top of the page number 451).

However, this Milan newspaper of 17 August 1814 bears a 3 Centes Lombardy tax stamp; in the middle of the Austrian eagle is F I for Franciscus I.

This Milan newspaper of 9 May 1835 bears a 5 Centes Lombardy tax stamp; just visible at the bottom is ‘M’ for the Milan stamping office.

This newspaper of 1 May 1838 is from Venice. It bears a 5 Centes tax stamp of the different Venetian design, still with F I for Franciscus I in the middle

Another Venetian-taxed newspaper, dated 16 Oct 1841. New design; rate still 5 Centes.

And finally, a newspaper from 6 Dec 1860. Published in Milan, which is in Lombardy, so had become part of the Kingdom of Italy the previous year.
