The display shows the Austrian Post Offices in the Levant and their expansion which was largely due to the Austrian Lloyd Shipping Company, set up in 1836.

Note that all the pages have been trimmed of empty space, then adjusted to a standard width. The apparent sizes of the stamps on one page may thus differ from the same stamps on the next page. Also, for some obscure reason the text on the originals was unreadable, and has been retyped.
